Hi there! Thanks for taking the time to check out my work. My name is Melissa and I run this little slice of photography pie that I call Melissa Dobereiner Photography. This is probably going to come as a shock to you but I’m a photographer- cue the dramatic music! Just kidding- obviously you already know this so I’m not going to write a novel about it. Instead I’ll share with you some things that you don’t know (and I’m going to try my hardest to make you laugh along the way!)
Aside from photographer, there are many ways I’d describe myself. I’m a:
- Mom of Tyler and Stella
- Wife to Allen
- CEO of the Dobereiner Household
- Black belt in multi-tasking
- Wanna-be marathon runner
- Closet Disney-fanatic (ok, maybe not so closeted!)
- Pretend wife to Dave Matthews
- Diet coke dependent
- Organizationally challenged
- Pinterest addicted (it’s really amazing that I get anything accomplished with Pinterest!)
- Comedic genius…in my mind anyway!
I could go on but I think this paints a pretty cohesive picture for you.
You might be wondering why I’m telling you all of these things, and that’s because I want you to have an idea of what I’m like and what you might expect from our session together. I truly believe that you should not only choose a photographer for their work, but also for who they are and what they are like. You will invest a good amount of time and money into your session (searching and researching photographers, selecting what to wear, the actual session itself, and finally selecting your final images) and it can be stressful. Part of my job is to help alleviate some of that stress for you during your session- the last thing you want to do is invest time and money to walk away with pictures where everyone has unhappy faces. I’m a tad goofy, I make some lame jokes, I might starting humming (and maybe even belting out) some Dave Matthews tunes- all in the spirit of putting you and your family at ease and capturing the best photographs possible.
